premiere pro: Pixelated

I use a Canon XM2 to film effects. When I use Premiere Pro and change the size of the video the edges show. Would using a HD Camera give me a better result?

You should probably elaborate your workflow a bit... exactly what are you trying to do? If you for instance have a 720 x 576 DV file (in a 720 x 576 DV sequence) and make it smaller by rescaling it, the edges will obviously become visible... If the source/videofile would have been a 1440 x 1080 HDV-clip, you would have more pixels "to use" for rescaling without visible edges...
