  1. For PPro, (at least right now) Cineform works best. It is quick to decode because it can be done without "intermediaries". Transcoding takes place via Cineform's own software or Adobe Media Encoder ... - Avid DNxHD must be decoded by Quicktime "before" PPro can read the file = Slowly. (Why not "native" ... ? Licensing entanglement) - Same thing for ProRes - must be decoded by Quicktime (which is not available in 64-bit version and no encoder for PC).
