OMVF Posted April 18, 2007 Posted April 18, 2007 Oulu Music Video Festival introduces MusiXine International Music Film Contest into its film programme, making MusiXine the burning point of the 14th upcoming festival on 5-9 September 2007. MusiXine adds a new dimension to the OMVF scene including music videos, special screenings and air guitar battling. MusiXine is a contest for films on music, music making and related phenomena, and the MusiXine Main Award for the best film in tune totals a monetary prize of 10.000 euros. MusiXine will showcase the latest trends in music film. The contest will aim to encourage new filmmakers, bring out the music film as an art form and serve as a forum for screening films on various music phenomena. In MusiXine, films will be evaluated for their cinematic merit in the context of music film, and the most important evaluation criteria for a successful work are the film’s insightful treatment of its topic and its artistic achievements.
