#3 Nizlopi, The JCB Song, Dir. Laith Bahrani

A cartoony homemade look in perfect harmony with the lyrics and with a sickly cute factor, the video is credited with catapulting the JCB song from chart entry obscurity at no. 160 to a near miss Christmas no 1 in the UK.

Winners of best video of the year and best dance video at this year’s CADs and a host of other awards. A video that could be made with no more than some willing friends, kitchen cupboard props and very clever plotting...

This one's a Radar Festival entry from last year! Good looking and colourful, it’s a great example of the ‘using stills to make a film’ low budget genre.

#7 OK Go, Here It Goes Again, Dirs. OK Go!

Top notch choreography by Trish Sie, sister of one of the band. Made for under ten dollars, an instant viral hit and went on to be the most downloaded music video ever. And then it won them a grammy.

Really neat, oddball choreography, with smart post production. Reportedly made as her degree show piece.

This one's in the generally satisfying low budget genre of watching someone who’s good at something, like juggling, free running or in this case, drawing.... all over the walls.
